Richard York of Patchogue is the oldest retail store in Patchogue Village. Owned and continuously operated as a family business since 1927, Richard Siegel (seen above with a photo of his grandfather) is now the 3rd generation owner of the shoe store, proudly following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps.
Richard York carries an extensive line of quality, name brand footwear for men, women, and children. New products are always coming in stock and are available in various sizes and widths including extra wide.
Siegel enjoys all the different aspects of the business – from purchasing inventory to creating eye-catching displays to advertising – but ultimately he most enjoys helping the customers. “I like pleasing customers and being able to get them the shoe that feels, fits and looks good,” said Siegel, “It’s gratifying that we can help them.”
